About Pearl Bakes

Welcome to Pearl Bakes HSE approved home bakery in Rathfarnham, Dublin. Established in December 2015 by Pastry Chef Margaret Keating. Pearl Bakes specialises in creating bespoke wedding cakes, birthday cakes and treats for all occasions.

I graduated with a B.A. in Culinary Arts in 2012. During my degree I completed an internship in Dunn’s bakery in Crouch End in London. At this stage I realised my passion for cake decorating. I have also worked as a pastry chef in Fire restaurant Dublin and the five star Merrion Hotel Dublin, where I gained huge experience. I then took the position of pastry chef in the award winning Merry Ploughboy pub in Rockbook, Dublin. While working as a pastry chef, I baked cakes for family and friends as a past time.

I decided then to take my passion further and completed a master class in wedding cake decorating in Cotton and Crumbs in Birmingham. This was the start of my journey in setting up my cake business. I look forward to creating a unique cake for your special occasion.
